Walk Day Schedule

Saturday, Ooctober 3rd

8:00am – 8:30am     Registration and Welcome                                    with light refreshment

8:30am – 9:00am     Opening Ceremony

9:00am                    5 KM Walkers Start

9:20am                    2.5 KM Walkers Start

9:45am – 10:00am   Walkers returning to Gibson                                  Centre

10:00am – 10:30am  Display, Refreshment and                                      Making of memento for the                                    tree hanging

10:30am – 12:00pm  Closing Ceremony

Registration:

• Starting Sept. 6, the first week of Sept. , donations from participants will be accepted at both 105 Gibson and TCCC. 

• Please encourage participants to collect the donations on/before Sept. 27 (last Sunday before the Walkathon)

• Each participant will get a coupon for free refreshments when they submit their donation envelope.

• It is important that participants register themselves at the registration desk on the day of the Walkathon

• A free cap will be distributed to the participant at registration on the event day. 

During the Walk

• Always stay on pavement and sidewalks unless during crossings. Always remember “Safety First”.

• Following all pedestrian protocols, obeying all traffic signals and crossing controls, and instructions of event traffic marshals.

• Be alert of vehicles and non-participants going in and out of driveways, intersections, sidewalks and buildings.

• Be a good witness of Christ’s love. Do not cause any nuisance to the neighbours.

• Pray for God’s blessing on the community and each household for Hope, Health, Peace and knowing God.

• All registered walkers have agreed that all photos/videos captured by our event photographers will be used for TCCC and GIBSON CENTRE ministries as it sees appropriate.
